Lake Ohau Station - Tahr Management weekend
We have been asked to help with some Tahr management on the Lake Ohau station, and so the trip is open to all 3 branches (Central, Upper Clutha and Southern Lakes)
This is a continuation of the management work done in July but due to snow and avalanche conditions back then, we were not able to get everywhere
When: 23 Sep - 25 Sep (or 26th)
Cost: 2 nights $75pp or 3 nights* $115 (covers accommodation and safety equipment)
*Due to the last minute public holiday there is now an option to stay the Sunday night too.
Accommodation: Staying at Buscot Station back packers in Omarama, there is a sign post on main road, the bunk room has linen Briefing session: There will be a briefing at 7pm on the Wednesday night before via zoom and also 7am on the Saturday on site.
Hunters will be matched up on the day.
What to bring: Dress for Spring - we could have sunshine or snow and ice conditions, bring food and no less than 40 rounds of ammo. The accommodation has bedding already.
Max hunters: 8
Hunt is entirely weather dependent and open to NZDA members or/or pending members.
