WHO: Any female NZDA member

COST: $75 per person to cover 2 nights of basic hut-style accommodation and radio hire

The ladies who attended the First Annual South Island Ladies Hunt had such an amazing and empowering time they all left saying "when's the next one??".  So we've put together another all-women hunting trip, this time tahr hunting near Mount Cook.

18 spots are open for female NZDA members to assemble on the shores of Lake Pukaki just south of beautiful Mount Cook for a weekend of tahr hunting, food and fun.  Well-trained hunting dogs are allowed to come too with prior notice.

Trip accommodation is the shearers quarters at Ferintosh Station and we will have access to cross private land into the public hunting Ruataniwha Conservation Area.  We will have blocks and maps organised for safe hunting and hopefully take advantage of "low-vember" when the tahr come a bit lower to feed.

General Itinerary

Friday 5th – Registration opens at 6pm, Safety briefing and block/buddy allocation at 8pm. Venison Sausages will be provided, bring your own sides.

Saturday 6th – Hunting from sunrise, assemble back at lodge in the evening for yarns and BYO dinner.

Sunday 7th  – Those super keen can head out hunting again.  Otherwise late breakfast, enjoy Mount Cook or go fishing in the canals on the way home.

More details will be provided upon registration. Payment will guarantee your spot.
