27th, 28th & 29th Nov – Wallabie Club hunt

About the hunt Pest control for wallabys, staying on the woolshed on the farmers property.  There will be hunting by spotlight from 4WD tracks, so bring warm clothes as snow is still possible that time of year and the country is high and steep. There is an opportunity to hunt during the day and walking uphill gets more results Dates: 27th, 28th, 29th November 2015 Where: Hayes Road, Kurow see map https://goo.gl/maps/CHDyX Who: Everyone welcome—no maximum number The plan:Head up Friday night—share rides. Camping in the newly built woolshed, bring your own sleeping stuff, beer & food. Like last time there will be a few BBQs brought up so cooking is much easier, although bring camp cookers for tea and coffee etc. There is running water and toilets, but it’s a woolshed so be prepared should it turn cold. Essential: The farmer has asked for only experienced 4WDs as he rolled his truck recently and the terrain is rough. You can bring dogs but you must have a worming certificate from the vets.  All guns allowed and parties will be separated into different gullies for safety. Reserve date: Should the weather turn nasty we may need to set aside another weekend How to register an interest: Please contact Jonno on foundationbuilders@xtra.co.nz  phone  0274 507 411 OR or info@southernlakesnzda.org.nz  ...
