At this stage it is being sent to all branch secretaries and will be going on the website today. It is vitally important it goes to as many members as possible. National Office will send it to members on the database that have email addresses in those branches that are directly affected by the map showing the Proposed Pest Control Blocks. Kea Conservation evening

Dear Queenstowners, We (the Kea Conservation Trust), are holding an informal meeting/discussion next Tuesday 19th April 6.30pm, to discuss the Draft Community – Kea Project Plan for the Queenstown – Wakatipu area (attached), proposed local initiatives and community involvement. Thank you to all of those people who have provided feedback to date and we hope we see you all there! Please feel free to pass the meeting details on to anyone you think may be interested in getting involved in anything kea in the local area. The meeting will be of particular interest to individuals and businesses (hunting, tourism, tramping, skiing, schools etc) with a general interest in their local kea, anyone keen to get involved in local kea projects (field work, predator control, education/advocacy, surveys, caring for injured kea, raising funds for projects etc), as well as anyone having issues with kea who need support. We will also show a number of inspiring examples of how other communities are progressing with their local kea initiatives which we hope will provide some inspiration and points for discussion for the Queenstown area.
