 Sun 25th Nov 2018 } 10am Gates open  Upper Clutha Range, Lake Hawea Road  All members welcome  $5 range fee (Please bring cash)  Email or register here U More Information   Annual interclub shoot with the Upper Clutha (Wanaka) NZDA branch They won last year (closely) so we are challenging to get the trophy back Format INTERCLUB TROPHY RULES 1. 100 metre range – Centrefire (no sighters) 5 shots prone/sitting 5 shots at 75m sitting/kneeling 5 shots at 50m standing 2. 50 metre range - .22 Rimfire 2 sighters , 5 counting shots prone/sitting 5 shots standing 3. 200 metre range – centrefire Three selected shooters from each Branch 5 shots prone/sitting (no sighters) General All points accumulated, highest team score wins All prone/sitting to be shot under field conditions (pack or bipod but no formal shooting rest/butt support) 75 metre sitting/50metre standing to be unsupported (no bipod etc) Range opens at 10am for sighting – competition starts at 10.30am or at discretion of Range Officer and no further sighting available. Centrefire ( no muzzle brakes) 100m - prone/sitting 5 shots - can use rest/bipod etc 75m - sitting 5 shots - no rest or bipod 50m - standing 5 shots - no rest or bipod 2. 22 Rimfire (not …17) no sighters total 20 shots - sitting and standing Everyone shoots - if one team only has 10 shooters and the other 20, the other side accumulates the points shot by their best 10. The ruling for shooting the wrong target is as per rules available on the day. When scoring, if a target ring is cut, the higher score will apply i.e. if the ring between 5 and 6 is touched, the shot counts as a 6. May 29th at the Upper Clutha gun range results Upper Clutha shoot 2016 Must be a member to attend Categories:- Top prizes including ATEC suppressor sponsored by Stager Sports in Alexandra, with spot prizes supplied by Hunting and fishing Cromwell and Element Queenstown Range open at 9.30am for sighting and competition starts at 11am 1. Centrefire ( no muzzle brakes) 100m - prone/sitting 5shots plus 2 sighters - can use rest/bipod etc 75m - sitting 3 shots - no rest or bipod 50m - standing 3 shots - no rest or bipod Best 11 shots count 2. Centrefire (no muzzle brake) 200yards- prone/sitting using rest or bipod 5 shots plus 2 sighters - best 5 count 3. 22 Rimfire (not .17) 2 sighters plus 10 shots - sighters dont count - prone/sitting with rest or bipod OK Everyone shoots - if one team only has 10 shooters and the other 20, the other side accumulates the points shot by their best 10.
