Volunteers needed 4th Dec for Post 1080 Grid Search

Call for volunteers for a post 1080 Gridsearch Organised by the Southern Lakes Branch of the NZDA in association with the Wakatipu White Tail Deer research in New Zealand When: Sunday 4th December 2016 NOTE: we had planned the 3rd but changed to the 4th as everyone preferred this date and lack of numbers on the Sat Above: White tail deer recently found in the Dart area (note: although not tested yet so unable to confirm if 1080 is the cause) We are looking to complete the grid search on Sunday 4th Dec and we will require volunteers to pre-register with the organisers in advance please text 021 969 350 The search is to be a GPS guided gridsearch that is likely to take about 6 hours. The search will be looking for any deceased animals, mice, rats, birds, possums, deer etc and we will also be doing a survey of the bait conditions and how much is left on the ground. This search is strictly scientifically based. We need at many people as possible so everyone welcome. Friends and non members, flatmates, work colleagues, neighbours etc… anyone that is comfortable in the bush and happy to help with a moderate fitness ability.
